Assalamua'laikum Sister Huda,

Salam Aidiladha from me to you... :)

I've got a question to ask from you and need your opinion on this coz a friend of mine did ask me on this question and in need of my opinion too.

As you might know, there are some Muslimahs who wear Hijab but "didn't even look like they are wearing hijab" - it's like they still look "naked". E.g. Wear short sleeve shirts instead of long sleeves and showing off the aurat of their arms. There are even those who wore hijab and covers every part of their bodies, but wear clothes that are so tight that you could even see their bodily figure.

So how do you advice these Muslimah without even hurting their feelings coz they are a close friend of yours?

Alaikum Salam Sister Ummi,

Salam Aidiladha to you ;)

Regarding to your question, I`ll try to give my opinion..

Yes, I noticed, there is a lot of Muslimahs who do not wear a proper hijab. If she is your close friend, 2 things I could suggest.

First, you could give a suitable blouse or shirt(long sleeve and not tight) as a birthday gift. For sure she`ll wear it because it is a gift from her close friend. And when she wear it, tell her your opinion about this new fashion. ( e.g., You looks beautiful with this blouse. I think this fashion suit you)

Second, when you shopping together, suggest her to join you to your favorite store (where you can find beautiful Islamic clothing)... Maybe she`ll interest to wear true islamic clothing.
